Ocean House Residents featured in Norah Jones' Music Video

SANTA MONICA, CA 8/4/2010

Four senior residents from Ocean House, a Brookdale Senior Living independent and assisted care community in Santa Monica, were featured in Norah Jones’ video, "Young Blood." The album, The Fall, was released in November 2009.

“The residents involved had a great time, and being in the video really gave them a feeling of being younger. To be able to see themselves on YouTube and in other media really gives them a boost of energy to be active and enjoy life” said Ed Silva, executive director at Ocean House. “This shows other people who are the same age that they can go out and enjoy life no matter what age they are.”

Norah Jones began her singing career in 2002, when she released her debut album called “Come Away with me.” It received eight Grammy Awards, including best new artist, and Album and Record of the Year. She has sold more albums than any other female jazz artist in the 2000’s.
